In-Person vs Virtual

With planning an in-person gathering comes a myriad of roadblocks, a myriad of ways to get a headache:  How much space do we need? Which venue do we select? What about parking? These frustrations can be dialed down to passing thoughts when you instead opt for online events.

“How much space do we need?” Basically none. “Which venue do we select?” Living room, bedroom, office, whatever’s convenient for your attendee. “What about parking?” What about parking?

In person events aren’t good at tracking the minute details of an attendee’s behavior. Digital records, on the other hand, are very good at that. The data is at your fingertips, and with it the opportunity to know exactly how to appease your attendees.

Hosting your gathering online is not only less stress for the company, but it also offers more flexibility for the attendees. Eliminating travel expenses opens a lot of possibilities for the curious patron. This increased availability boosts not only the sum total of attendees but also the variety. When you remove geographical limitations, your event becomes available to a more diverse clientele. This all just to convince the guests to attend. Once they’ve “arrived,” the benefits only continue to build.

Virtual gatherings open the door for more active engagement between hosts and attendees. Guests on the shyer end of the spectrum don’t have to be intimidated by the large crowds stuffing auditorium. Neither do ambitious attendees have to choose between two equally enticing events. Simply record both options and keep them on the menu for consumption at a later date.

At its heart, the benefit of online events is convenience. Convenience for you. Convenience for them. Convenience for everyone.
